Term & Conditions
Booking
To make a booking, you can check availability and book online. However, if you
make an enquiry through the 'Booking Enquiry' form, we will advise of
availability at the time of the reply. This does not constitute an offer of
accommodation, until we have confirmed that a booking has been made for you. To
guarantee pricing quoted in offers in response to an email enquiry, you must
either telephone us to confirm, or use the 'Confirm a Booking' form on the
website. If you make the booking online after an email offer has been made, the
prices may not be the same.
All bookings must be guaranteed by a credit or debit card, valid for the date of arrival. Alternatively, you can send us a deposit for the cost of the first nights accommodation by BACS payment (not recommended for overseas guests as this can be expensive).
Deposits of the cost of 1 nights' accommodation, are normally required for busy periods such as the Tattoo in August, New Year and 6-Nations rugby weekends. If you book online, the guarantee and cancellation policy will tell you there may be a deposit required for busy periods. If you make an email enquiry, we will tell you definitely if a deposit is required, in our reply.
Cancellation Policy
For any time, except for The Military Tattoo, which runs for 3 weeks in August
every year, cancellations must be made by 12pm, at least 14 days before you
were due to arrive. If you have paid a 1 night deposit, and cancel outwith this
period, we will refund the deposit paid, less a 10% administration charge. If
you cancel within this time period, any deposit in non-refundable. If you have
guaranteed with a credit or debit card and cancel less than 14 days before due
arrival, the cost of 1 nights' accommodation will be charged to the card. For
the period of the Military Tattoo, cancellations must be made at least 28 days
before due arrival, otherwise the same conditions apply.
Acceptance of any offer of accommodation means that you also accept these terms.
More flexible rates are available through the online booking system, where you can cancel up to 3 days before arrival without incurring a charge, or 7 days for the Tattoo. However, the cheapest rate will always have the above cancellation policy.
Check-In
Please note that check-in can be any time up to 6pm, or by special arrangement
only, up to 10pm. If you arrive in the morning, the room may not be ready for
you, but you can leave your luggage with us and we will put it in your room for
you once it has been cleaned.
Car Parking
A residents car park is available at the guest house and is free of charge for
residents of the guest house. The guest house owners accept no liability for
any cars parked in the guest house car park.
Smoking Policy
The guest house is totally non-smoking. Guests may smoke outside the guest
house. Any guest smoking anywhere inside the guest house will be asked to leave
and will be charged for the full amount of their booked stay.
Privacy
To take your booking, we require certain details from you. We will not pass any
of these details to any third parties and will keep them secure.
