Location
Glenalmond House is a beautiful traditional Victorian detached house with its own private guest parking, is set in the very elegant, upmarket and vibrant south side of Newington, in Mayfield Gardens. Close to the city centre and University district of Edinburgh, with an excellent regular bus service for the short trip to Edinburgh City Centre.
A short walk takes you to many fine Edinburgh restaurants, bars, and visitor attractions, including Holyrood Park.
Newington was built as a residential district, with many fine, very distinctive and imposing Georgian and Victorian houses, both terraced and detached.
If you are travelling to us by car from the north, west or south, a great benefit is the ease of getting to us form the A720 Edinburgh City by-pass by taking the A701 form the Straiton Junction – which virtually takes you straight to our door – avoiding all the city centre congestion.
